Seventeen Rock and Metal Tours Announced This Week

Seventeen new rock and metal tours were announced between October 3 and October 9, 2025. These announcements include major acts like Rush, The Offspring, Bring Me the Horizon, and Yungblud. The coming year will feature a substantial number of live music events across North America, with many bands also participating in large-scale festivals.

Rush Members Announce 50th Anniversary Tour

Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee, members of the iconic rock band Rush, will return to the stage in 2026. This tour marks their 50-year anniversary as a group. The announcement was a significant surprise for fans. The tour is set to run from June 7 to September 19, 2026. The duo will perform two sets nightly, with no listed support acts.

"The anticipation for the Rush 50th anniversary tour is extremely high," said a representative for the band. "Fans have waited a long time for this."

This tour follows years of speculation regarding the band's future after drummer Neil Peart's retirement and passing. The return of Lifeson and Lee signifies a new chapter for the musicians and their legacy.

Major Rock and Punk Acts Hit the Road

The Offspring, a prominent punk rock band, will bring their extensive catalog of hits to audiences starting January 16, 2026. They will be joined by fellow punk veterans Bad Religion. This tour is scheduled to conclude on February 24, 2026, offering fans a strong lineup of punk music.

British rock band Bring Me the Horizon is also set for a significant U.S. tour. Their dates span from April 28 to May 16, 2026. Support for these shows will come from Motionless in White, The Plot in You, and Amira Elfeky. Similarly, Yungblud will embark on his own U.S. tour, running from May 1 to June 13, 2026.

Las Vegas Residencies and Special Performances

Cyndi Lauper will hold a Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace from April 24 to May 2, 2025. This series of shows provides fans an opportunity to see the pop icon in a more intimate setting.

Hard rock band Tesla also announced a Las Vegas residency at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay. Their residency dates are October 3 - November 7, 2025, and January 15 - 31, 2026. Tesla will also play additional concert dates outside their residency.

Festival Expansions

Several major rock and metal festivals are expanding their lineups for 2026. The Sonic Temple festival, taking place May 14-17, 2026, at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, has added Stone Temple Pilots, Sevendust, Black Label Society, P.O.D., Saliva, and SOiL. Bring Me the Horizon will co-headline with My Chemical Romance.

Similarly, Welcome to Rockville, scheduled for May 7-10, 2026, at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, Florida, announced new additions. These include Bring Me the Horizon, Motionless in White, The Plot in You, Amira Elfeky, Ice Nine Kills, Black Veil Brides, Crown the Empire, Wolves at the Gates, and Colorblind.

The annual SEMA Fest will occur on November 7, 2025, at the Las Vegas Convention Center Campus. Queens of the Stone Age, The Black Crowes, and Neon Trees are confirmed as leading musical acts.

Furnace Fest has confirmed its return in 2026, with dates for the Birmingham-based festival to be announced soon. The Totally Tubular Festival will host end-of-year holiday shows featuring A Flock of Seagulls, Men Without Hats, Thomas Dolby, The Romantics, Bow Wow Wow, Tommy Tutone, The Motels, and Animotion. These shows are scheduled for December 27 in Atlantic City, December 28 in Mashantucket, December 29 in New York, and December 31 in Niagara Falls.

Unique Music Events and Collaborations

Guitarist Nuno Bettencourt will host his first Six String Sanctuary from January 16-20, 2026, in Las Vegas. This event invites aspiring guitarists to join him. Special guests include Steve Vai, Rick Beato, Eric Gales, Richie Kotzen, Mateus Asato, and Taj Farrant. This unique experience offers a chance for guitar enthusiasts to learn from acclaimed musicians.

The band 311 will hold their annual 311 Day celebration in Las Vegas on March 7 and 8, 2026. This event is expected to feature a special, one-time collaboration with Blue Man Group on select songs, promising a distinctive performance for attendees.

Brent Smith and Zach Myers will perform as a duo on December 12, 2025, at Audacy Unwrapped: An Acoustic Holiday in Everett, Washington. The event will also include sets from The Pretty Reckless, Mammoth, Daughtry, Hollywood Undead, Sleep Theory, Des Rocs, and Return to Dust, offering a diverse acoustic lineup.

August Burns Red has finalized the lineup for their Christmas Burns Red shows, scheduled for December 13 and 14, 2025, at Freedom Hall in the Lancaster County Convention Center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The first night will feature Currents, Invent Animate, The Callous Daoboys, No Cure, and Psycho Frame. The second night will host Animals as Leaders, Boundaries, Left to Suffer, War of Ages, and Reinv3ent.

Touche Amore has booked a special show to perform their album "Stage Four" in its entirety. This event will take place at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on May 16, 2026. Glassjaw, Saetia, Incendiary, and Crushed will provide support for the evening.
