Electronic Artists Lead 2025 ARIA Awards Nominations

Electronic music artists Ninajirachi and Dom Dolla have received the most nominations for the 39th annual ARIA Awards. Ninajirachi leads with eight nominations, followed closely by Dom Dolla with seven. The awards ceremony will take place at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. This year marks a new partnership with Spotify, which will integrate public voting directly into its application.

The ARIA Awards aim to celebrate Australian artists who are breaking new ground in music, achieving global recognition, and blending different genres. A total of 29 categories will recognize achievements across the music industry. The event highlights the diverse talent emerging from Australia.

Ninajirachi and Dom Dolla Lead the Pack

Ninajirachi, an electronic artist, has made a significant impact with her debut album, I Love My Computer. This album has positioned her as a leader in Australia's new wave of talent, redefining both pop and club music. Her eight nominations underscore her influence in the electronic music scene.

Dom Dolla, a well-known Australian export, has also garnered substantial attention. He received seven nominations for his work. Dom Dolla has achieved international success and is recognized as one of Australia's top electronic acts. His global reach continues to grow.

Following Ninajirachi and Dom Dolla, other prominent Australian artists also received multiple nominations. Amyl and the Sniffers earned six nominations. Hilltop Hoods, with their ninth studio album Fall From the Light, and Thelma Plum each received five nominations. RÜFÜS DU SOL secured four nominations after releasing their fifth album, Inhale / Exhale.

Folk Bitch Trio, Missy Higgins, and Royel Otis also received four nominations each. Pop icon Kylie Minogue earned three nominations, reflecting her continued presence in the music industry. The nominations showcase a wide range of genres and artists.

New Awards and Public Voting Integration

The 2025 ARIA Awards introduce a significant new category: Best Music Festival. This award recognizes the vital role festivals play in the Australian music landscape. Nominees for this inaugural award include Ability Fest, Beyond the Valley, Bluesfest Byron Bay, Laneway Festival, and Yours and Owls.

Another major change for 2025 is the integration of public voting with Spotify. For the first time, fans can cast their daily votes for public-voted categories directly within the Spotify application. ARIA Hall of Fame Induction
